Summary
Elite lawyer Hua Zhao from the 21st century transmigrates into a poor, overweight village woman in 1970s China. She inherits a miserable start: orphaned, with a gravely ill grandfather, and wakes up during a forced marriage scene. Senior worker Ye Shen, visiting his grandfather’s comrade, is tricked into this marriage by Hua Zhao’s family and resents it. Watch Hua Zhao transform—losing weight, beautifying herself, confronting toxic relatives, leading villagers to wealth—and finding happiness in the 1970s.
