Episode 1

The courtroom is packed to capacity -- lawyer Ayame Hanajin (Kumiko Aso) sits in the defendant's seat. "What was that crime...?" she mutters to herself as if asking herself... And then -- the trial of a "murder case" begins -- time rewinds to one year ago -- Ayame works hard every day as an excellent, solitary lawyer. One day, she is invited as a panelist to a domestic violence victim seminar held by a women's group where charismatic businessman Yoko Mogami (Misuzu Kanno) serves as a director, and there she meets a woman. The pretty woman, who calls herself Natsune Minamoto (Kana Kita), works as a manicurist at the salon run by Yoko, and her husband and Yoko's son Jun (Motoki Ochiai) were classmates in high school, so she and her husband are living in a detached room in Yoko's house. Furthermore, even though she hints at the fact that her husband is abusing her out of love, she smiles meaningfully and leaves the scene.

Lawyer Ayame Kajin (Kumiko Aso) listens to the plea of ​​Natsune Minamoto (Kana Kita) who is crying, "Help my husband!" and visits the detention center to see her husband, Toya Minamoto (Akihisa Shiono). Toya is suspected of being the "murderer" in the mysterious death of Ayame's mentor, university professor Okutaro Nada (Shiro Sano). Nada's wife Yoko Mogami (Misuzu Kanno) testifies that she saw Toya leaving the scene last night when the incident occurred.

On the night of Nada Okutaro's (Sano Shiro) funeral, Hanajin Ayame (Asou Kumiko) is unable to contain her passion and crosses the forbidden line with Minamoto Toya (Shiono Akihisa). Unable to forget Toya, she visits the fencing club where he works, under the pretext of returning the T-shirt she borrowed that day. However, when Ayame tells him that it was a one-night mistake, Toya only looks at her with a lonely look in his eyes... Ayame leaves, wishing he would stay, and this was supposed to be the end of their relationship. However, that night, Toya calls her in a painful voice, saying, "I don't think I can act like nothing happened," and Ayame is made to realize that she feels the same way. The two of them become even more immersed in their forbidden love..

After being beaten by an enraged Minamoto Toya (Shiono Akihisa), her house was ransacked, and Ayame Hanajin (Asou Kumiko) was left alone in her room, stunned. "What just happened was a dream," she wanted to think, but the pain on her cheek and body wouldn't allow it... The next day, she hid her wounds with makeup, finished work bravely, and returned home to find Toya holding a flower in front of her apartment building... Ayame's heart was shaken when Toya apologized to her with tears in his eyes, saying, "I didn't mean to do that." However, when she refused, saying, "We're over," in an attempt to break off their relationship, since that night Toya began to deliver a flower to Ayame's mailbox to convey his feelings. With each passing day, Ayame finds herself struggling with her own feelings of wanting to forgive her brave boyfriend...

Minamoto Kanon (Kita Kana), who broke into the law firm where Hanajin Ayame (Asou Kumiko) works and caused a suicide commotion, suddenly disappeared immediately afterwards. "Let's stay together." Ayame, who had lost everything, took the hand of the distraught Toya (Shiono Akihisa) and invited him into her home... and the two began living together. Life with Toya was a happy one for Ayame. Since Natsune caused the commotion, Ayame had been treated coldly at the office and had lost everything. However, it wasn't painful when she thought that Toya was waiting for her at home... and gradually Ayame began to break down as a person.

"It was as if it was a bad dream." Minamoto Toya (Shiono Akihisa) strangles Hanajin Ayame (Asou Kumiko) and becomes violent again. However, Toya cries and begs her for forgiveness, begging her not to abandon him, and begins to treat Ayame more gently than ever before. Although Ayame feels Toya's love, she realizes that she is somehow afraid of him... Furthermore, she is shocked to find out that Toya has been hiding from her and relentlessly searching for his missing wife, Natsune (Kita Kana). Meanwhile, Mogami Yoko (Kamino Misuzu) suddenly visits the law firm where Ayame works. Having elegantly overcome the label of "pervert wife," Yoko finally decides to run for office and tells Ayame that she wants her to join her team. To do so, Yoko makes a condition that she break up with Toya and clean up her affairs. It's a position that the old Ayame would have jumped into without a second thought, but she is unable to immediately respond to Yoko's invitation...

With the conspiracy of Ayame Kajin (Kumiko Aso) and Natsune Minamoto (Kana Kita), Touya Minamoto (Akihisa Shiono) was arrested on suspicion of assault. It's all over... That's what she thought at the time. Suppressing her pain, Ayame began to throw away mementos of Touya from the room where they lived together. Just as she was about to erase all traces of him and start afresh, she received a call from Detective Kanehara (Urajinuno) saying "Touya has been released." Natsune had withdrawn the complaint because her husband was truly remorseful. "Why?" Ayame asked, and Natsune uttered something she never expected. "I killed someone." The "secret" from high school that bound Touya and Natsune together with a special bond was finally revealed...

Toya slowly approaches Ayame, ignoring the bleeding Mogami Yoko (Misuzu Kanno) who was pushed down the stairs. Ayame desperately resists Toya, crying tears of hatred, as he attacks her, turning into an uncontrollable "demon".
