Chiho runs a small shop by herself, and Hanae, a familiar face, and Inamura, a new customer, come to visit. The three people who bump into each other talk quietly one night, talking about their first and only encounter, as if they had met somewhere along the journey of life.
Two detectives are tailing a man. Kudo is wearing an out-of-place long dress, while Asano is wearing red stiletto heels. The mismatched pair find themselves in an unexpected and difficult situation. Then, as if waiting for just such a moment, a mysterious and very suspicious man appears, wanting to help. The two are wary, but the story takes an unexpected turn.
At the filming site of a drama, the actors are waiting for dusk. As they start talking about random things, the conversation develops in an unexpected direction. As the conversation progresses, Kono, the youngest, confides a certain worry. The two actresses who hear this offer witty advice. Eventually, Kono makes a decision.
Ballroom dance school, Shiratori Dance Academy. One day, Shiratori-sensei asked Yamamoto, the youngest student in the class, if he wanted to try competing in a competition with Goto, who was about the same age as his father. Shiratori's merciless Spartan lessons begin on the bewildered couple Yamamoto and shy Goto. When the two were about to give up, Shiratori came up with a ridiculous idea.
Minato, a real estate agent, walks at an incredible speed down the streets of a residential area, with his client Sawada desperately chasing after him. Eventually they arrive at a property that is said to be a real bargain, a detached house. As soon as Sawada enters the front door, he feels a chill. Minato doesn't care and continues to show him around every corner of the house. Soon, a woman with a pale face and a white dress appears.
In the schoolyard after school, Hina is drawing her favorite picture on the morning assembly platform, separate from the other children who are playing. Teachers Takei and Morisaki notice her. Hina's mother, who is on her way home from shopping, shows up and the four of them chat on the playground. The adults realize that there are many different children, many different teachers, and many different parents and children, and that each one is fun. The children may have realized that there are adults like that too.
It's night in an alley lined with nostalgic shops. Snack Arigasaki is a place that exudes a certain charm. The owner Inage, a regular customer who works there, Catherine Sakurai, and Kaoru, who works in the jewelry industry, are happily talking about the typical bar conversation that other regulars have said about Inage being haunted by a spirit. Suddenly, a mother and child come in. The mother abruptly orders spaghetti Napolitana without even looking at the menu, and the child, Kaos, who is standing behind Inage and reacts a lot.
On top of a quiet, green hill, a woman is sleeping as she holds a cat on a bench. She is wearing layers of clothing and there is a large plastic bag beside her. Drawn by the relaxed atmosphere that seems to flow only around her, they encounter Meiko and Wakaba. They may have appeared to make them think about what happiness means to people. This is the story of a bench that is both realistic and unrealistic.
